The San Mateo County Office of Sustainability's RICAPS program (Regionally Integrated Climate Action Planning Suite) was publicly recognized for their leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate action during the 2017 Climate Leadership Awards Dinner, as part of the Climate Leadership Conference, held in Chicago, IL from March 1 - 3, 2017.  City of Brisbane staff regularly attend the RICAPS county working group, and it was RICAPS that guided staff on completing the City's first-ever Climate Action Plan and assisted with the City being the first agency in the state to ever receive a Gold-level Beacon Award.  We are grateful for the forward-thinking technical support from the County of San Mateo, and the tools and templates that RICAPS makes publicly available that enable other regional agencies the ability to reduce their GHG emissions as well.
