Printer-friendly version

Do you know who to call with questions about Medicare, MediCal or Medicaid? Rent Assistance? Home-delivered meals or if a loved one, friend or neighbor needs help?  Just dial 2-1-1 from any phone - including cell phones - and a live person will help you with information and referrals to local community services, such as food, shelter, counseling, employment assistance, quality child care, volunteer opportunities and more. The service, provided through a partnership between the Contra Costa Crisis Center, Eden I&R, and United Way is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day in 150 languages.

Online, you can check out SMC-Connect, the recently-launched website to find social services and information near you.

Additionally, the County's Human Services Agency has released their 2018 Community Information Handbook.  Check out this resource guide to the residents of San Mateo County to discover community services in San Mateo County, including information on over 1,200 non-profit agencies, government programs, and community organizations.  A Spanish version will be available soon - check their website for its release.
